Flying Bat Christmas Tree Ornament
One night a year jolly ol' St. Nick might shimmy his way down your chimney, but the rest of the year it is guano and not presents that are being left for you. So honour our fuzzy, winged friends by hanging a bat (or two) on your tree this year.
The size of the skull is approximately 120x45x55mm (4.7 x 1.8 x 2.2 inches) and weighs about 30g (1.06oz).
Materials & Process
Layer by layer this bat is 3D printed using PLA (polylactic acid) which is a biodegradable and bioactive thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch. It takes just under 6 hours to print each ornament followed by about 10 minutes to remove the supports created during the printing process.
The 3D printing process is not perfect so there may be blemishes in the surface finishes and visible layer lines. Items will not be exactly as pictured and as much as we try to take colour accurate photos, the colour may be slightly different than viewed on your screen.
